Ich hatte mich ja schon öfters gewundert, warum die wunderbaren Archive von Elsevier, Wiley, Blackwell, Springer und Konsorten noch nicht ihren Weg in die PubMed-Linkout-Datenbank gefunden haben. David Rothman hatte uns ja schon liebenswürdigerweise zum Mitschreiben erklärt, wie man RSS-Feeds ‘pushy’ macht und man mit PubMed einen Feed für Zeitschrifteninhaltsverzeichnisse aufsetzen kann. Jetzt wird es ernst. Nach einer Einführungszeit hat PubMed gestern das Standardanzeigeformat für Abstracts geändert. Es wird nun der sogenannte AbstractPlus angezeigt:

Der Bibliotheksvolltextbutton unter dem Abstract - das ist schlecht

The National Institutes of Health submitted its Report on the NIH Public Access Policy (PDF) to Congress. Die National Library of Medicine hat jetzt das MEDLINE/PubMed Baseline Repository (MBR) angekündigt. Das MBR “friert” die Medline-Datenbank zu bestimmten Zeitpunkten ein und macht es z.B. möglich, die Medline vom Stand 2002 zu durchsuchen. Man muß wohl ein anerkannter “licensee of NLM Data” sein (das kann aber jeder beantragen). [via OAN]
