Bookmaps von Wolfram Schneider erlaubt die Suche und Lokalisierung von Büchern, ist also eine Art “Bestandsvisualisierung”. Nach der z39.50 Suche in den üblichen Verbundkatalogen werden die Fundorte in einer Deutschlandkarte dargestellt (Klick auf rotes Zeichen). Fährt man über den Standort, erhält man Adresse, Telefonnummer, Öffnungszeiten und einen Ausleihlink der haltenden Bibliothek. Genial!

Google Scholar linkt nun via OpenURL zu den (Bibliotheks)Beständen von über 100 Universitäten, darunter der Technischen Universität München. LIS-News schreibt: This feature adds local branding to Google Scholar results for institutions that have OpenURL based linking software.
