Nach Mobipocket’s 10-tätiger Downtime hatten viele eine Erklärung erwartet, wenn nicht eine Entschuldigung. Auf der Homepage oder in den News wird der Fauxpax allerdings glatt ignoriert und erst in den Tiefen der Nutzersupportforen wird man fündig - allerdings erst auf folgende Nachfrage von herbertespinosa: I thought we all would find a note on the homepage upon returning, but I wasn’t able to find anything. Could you please provide me and the other users more details on what happened with the system and also why all the passwords had to be reset?

We took the site offline because we recently learned of an attempt to gain access to a Mobipocket server. The issue was discovered on August 15, at which point we immediately took the Mobipocket servers off the internet. Once we had more specific information, and reset passwords as a precaution.
