Medical librarians are professionally qualified. They have either a graduate or a postgraduate qualification, which has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. The most common route is to have a postgraduate qualification. Typically, a medical librarian has an MSc, an MA, or apostgraduate diploma.
